Hourly Rate: $25 - $31/hr, Depending on experience/additional duties
Location: Macalester-Groveland, Saint Paul, MN
Children: One Child, Almost 3 Month Old
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (27 hours guaranteed per week). Flexibility for occasional date nights is appreciated!
Responsibilities:
Lead the Day: Confidently manage daily routines, meal prep, and age-appropriate activities for the child
Developmental Play: Plan and initiate screen-free, play-based activities. Outings require prior family approval and should be limited to pre-approved locations
Gentle Parenting: Support emotional development using empathy, redirection, and positive reinforcement. No physical discipline of any kind
Household Upkeep: Light child-related tidying, dishes, laundry, and general organization to keep the home running smoothly. Potential to do more family assistant tasks for the right fit.
Pet Awareness: Must be comfortable around two large, friendly dogs. The family has a dog walker for midday care
Communication: Daily text updates and a verbal check-in at end of day are expected. This family values detailed, consistent communication

About Us: We are a warm, easygoing family living in the Macalester-Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul with our two dogs, Nala and Ivy. We love our neighborhood's walkability, the nearby parks, coffee shops, and restaurants, and we spend a lot of time exploring the area as a family. At home, we have a fenced backyard and a great deck where we enjoy time outdoors whenever Minnesota weather cooperates. We value kindness, respect, and open communication, and we want anyone who spends time in our home to feel comfortable and supported. We'll make sure there are groceries and household essentials available so you can feel at home while you're with us. Nala is a 7-year-old Samoyed and Ivy is a 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog. Both are friendly with children and people and are very much part of the family. No help needed with the dogs but important to note since they will be around and are part of the family.
About You: We are seeking a nurturing, calm, and highly reliable Nannie who communicates proactively and takes ownership of their role. Because both parents work in person, punctuality and dependability are non-negotiable. The ideal candidate is warm and engaging, comfortable with dogs, and excited to bring intentional, screen-free care to a structured daily routine.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience
Specific experience with infants strongly preferred
Current infant CPR and First Aid Certification (proof required before start)
Non-smoker, non-vaper. No drugs or alcohol while on duty
Strict "no posting children on social media" policy
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
Must be fully comfortable working in a home with two large dogs
Ability to limit personal phone use while actively caring for the child
Ability to provide 3-5 professional references
