This warm and thoughtful family is looking for a calm, patient, and engaging nanny to care for their sweet 6-month-old baby. They follow an authoritative parenting style, balancing clear boundaries with kindness and consistency, and strongly value play-based learning over rigid routines or structured academics at this stage.
The ideal candidate is:
Nurturing and gentle in their care
Proactive and creative when planning age-appropriate, play-based activities
Comfortable making daily decisions independently, while still collaborating with the family and offering direct, respectful feedback
Flexible but grounded, capable of maintaining routines and adjusting as needed
Clear and consistent in communication, with daily text updates and verbal check-ins at the end of the day
This is a home that thrives on respectful collaboration. Parents are experienced but hands-off during the workday and deeply value a nanny who can take full ownership of the role while embracing their parenting style. They’re not looking for someone to simply follow instructions. They want someone who brings ideas, shows initiative, and becomes a trusted teammate in their child’s early development.
This position is best suited for a nanny who is intuitive, organized, values clear but kind boundaries, and is excited to grow with a family who truly respects and appreciates the work of a professional caregiver.
Requirements:
CPR and First Aid Certification (proof required)
Non-Smoker
Minimum age: 18 years
High School Diploma or GED
Legal work authorization in the U.S.
At least 3 years of paid childcare experience
Background check required
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation with current registration/insurance
Ability to provide 3 professional references (at least two from private in-home experience)
True passion for working with children
Reliability, punctuality, honesty, and trustworthiness
Experience with infants required
Unfortunately we are not looking for a nanny who needs to bring their kid(s).
